Blackrock Front Garden and Driveway
A superb example of the careful and painstaking execution to a complex Front Garden and Driveway located in a beautiful Sub-Urban setting. This project involved comprehensive remodelling of the Front Garden and Driveway Entrances and a key challenge was to determine a design for the spatial layout which not only took account of the varying levels and access points, but one which was practical, visually integrated and complemented the site architecture. Works included extensive excavations to provide optimum levels/inclines for vehicular access, but sympathetic to retaining an overall Front Garden look, whilst the granite paving at the upper level provided easy access around house perimeter. A new natural Sandstone wall nicely disguises the curving and rising incline aspect to the front boundary, and the end results are an elegant and confident fusion of granite paving, setts and kerbing which is contrasted beautifully by the careful but vibrant selection of planting and the new lawn. Stainless Steel Bollard lighting are also discreetly positioned to provide the necessary illumination.
