Limestone Patios and Terraced Garden Design

Another earlier project this time from 2008 and a good example in the practical use of levels and line to create an open aspect to the overall garden layout. The varying heights and finishes in original boundary walls have been concealed by the weatherboard wall cladding boldly painted in ebony. The colour is also evident in the choice of stone, in this instance natural limestone and specimen plants (including Olive tree and the trained mature Photinia on espalier frame) are carefully combined to add visual interest and sparkle to the garden.

Overall the small lawn area makes a significant verdant contribution to the overall bold urban design of this garden. Other site works included relocation of oil tank to opposite end and hidden behind screening and the regained space provided a valuable alternative patio area at the upper level.
