Another word about our very popular selling Hammocks is that the frame is manufactured from Pressure Treated timbers which have been engineered to withstand all types of weather conditions. So no need to worry about storage over Winter, simply remove (by unclipping the quick release clasp) and store the cotton canvass indoors during wet spells. The frame which is very stable, sturdy and eyecatching can be simply be left outdoors.  The UV rays of the sun will eventually bleach the timbers a silver grey colour,  otherwise rub down with linseed oil every two or three years. Although hugely popular with people of all ages, they are an essential garden accessory and much loved during the summer months, make hammocks a perfect gift/surprise idea!

A benchmark for garden benches

Here’s a very simple classic basic very similar to the traditional Park bench and because it is made using pressure treated timbers, this bench will last a very long time. Not surprising therefore that this very popular and very affordable (around € 200.00) garden bench with such good looks and very comfortable seating  has become a benchmark for garden bench seating.

Design for Gardens at GARDENSTUDIO

An update on the terrific graphic design work which is being done by  BAMMEDIA on our behalf. A big thanks to Bridget who is doing super work on defining our design identity and ethos for our GARDENSTUDIO and I’m sure you will agree, the graphics for Point of Sale Display panels featuring a selection of our Garden products many with Unique Styles is simply inspiring.

We had a fantastic response to our products at BLOOM 2009 and I look forward to welcoming many visitors to our new GARDENSTUDIO showrooms in Terenure.

Our new showrooms located at Unit 1, Fortfield Lane, Fortfield Road, Terenure, Dublin 6W (entrance to Fortfield Lane is next to the Topaz Service Station on Fortfield Road) is open to the Public. Unfortunately because of heavy commitments of our landscaping project workload, we can only facilitate visits to our Showrooms by prior appointment. We can also offer flexible visit times, eg, outside normal office hours as well as Saturdays.

The Beehive Composter – a form with function

Although the distinctive form is deliberately reminiscent and influenced by a traditional Beehive, the Beehive Composter unit is essentially a garden composter.  The attractive design causes great confusion at garden shows with many curious onlookers believing the product to be a beehive. This unique looking garden composter is much more appealing than the typical bland and often ugly plastic looking equivalents. A Classic Garden Bench

When it comes to choosing a bench for the garden,  are you like many other people and prefer the comfort and looks of the classic ’Park Bench’ design? Park benches are much more comfortable and attractive and are made for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Unlike the usual almost ‘orthopaedic’ looking benches with straight backs, right-angled corners which can cause discomfort to the lower back  and thigh muscles areas as well as behind the knees, the Classic Garden Bench is designed for informal but relaxing seating postures.  The gentle but distinctive sweeping profile curve of the Classic Garden Bench is very ergonomic design which fits snugly around the lower spinal area as well as providing plenty of upper body lumbar support and yet a more informal but relaxing sitting posture.  This becomes very apparent once you sit on the bench and right back into the lower curve of the Classic Garden Bench. Instinctively you will want to unwind, lift your feet off the ground and feel the aches and stresses gently fade away. The park style benches are also ideal for a group of people to sit together and reminisce.
