Building within a budget - starting a Family garden in Dublin 15
As teh 'before' phot clearly illustrates, the new underdeveloped family garden has plenty of potential to be exploited and working within a strict budget, the priorities were to establish an appealing, practical and hardwearing structural layout from the start and over time which could be enhanced, developed with incremental additions incluidng new lawn, additional planting etc.
Such projects despite the limitations of budget still demand careful consideration of all the many areas and elements which could be developed from the outset. In this instance the priority elements included a new patio, a raisede bed, pathways to access patio and garden shed, prepare a new base for the pending new garden shed and rendering of the boundary walls which would be painted by close family memebrs who were professional painters.
A modest project in which function and form were priority elements and which the owners were keen to exploit more in future.
